World's Largest Artificial Island

Built off Dubai's coast from millions of tons of dredged sand and rock, Palm Jumeirah is widely cited as the largest man-made island complex in the world, shaped like a palm tree and visible from space. Its construction added roughly 78 kilometers of new coastline to the emirate.
