Saudi Aramco, the state oil company headquartered in Dhahran, has repeatedly posted the highest annual net profit of any publicly reporting company in the world, drawing on its position atop the country's vast crude reserves. Its 2019 stock market listing was also the largest initial public offering in history at the time.
