Longest Unbeaten Streak in World Title Boxing Bouts

Mexican boxer Julio Cesar Chavez went 89 fights without a loss between 1980 and January 1994, including an 87-bout run without so much as a defeat or draw until a 1993 draw with Pernell Whitaker. Within that stretch he also strung together 27 consecutive world title fights without losing, a mark still cited as one of boxing's longest unbeaten runs.
