Tallest Man-Made Structure for Nearly 3,800 Years

Completed around 2560 BCE at an original height of about 146.6 meters, the Great Pyramid of Giza stood as the tallest structure ever built by humans for roughly 3,800 years, longer than any other building in recorded history has held that title. It was finally surpassed in height by Lincoln Cathedral in England, completed in the 14th century.
