World's Largest Single-Train Oil Refinery

Built by businessman Aliko Dangote in Lagos's Lekki Free Trade Zone at a cost of more than 19 billion dollars, the Dangote Refinery is recognized as the largest single-train petroleum refinery in the world, meaning it runs as one continuous processing unit rather than several smaller linked units. It was designed with capacity to refine 650,000 barrels of crude oil per day, enough to cover all of Nigeria's fuel needs with surplus for export.
