Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote, whose business interests span cement, sugar and oil refining, became the first African billionaire to reach a net worth of 20 billion dollars in June 2013. He has ranked among Africa's wealthiest people for well over a decade since, built primarily on Dangote Group's cement and refining businesses.
