Only Major City Spanning Two Continents

Istanbul is generally regarded as the only major city in the world situated on two continents at once, straddling the Bosphorus Strait with one side in Europe and the other in Asia. Roughly 15 million residents live across the divided metropolis, connected by bridges and tunnels.
