The Jungfraujoch station in the Bernese Alps, nicknamed the "Top of Europe," sits at an elevation of about 3,454 meters, making it the highest railway station on the continent. It is reached via the Jungfrau Railway, a cog railway completed in 1912 that tunnels through the mountain itself.
