Most Winter Olympic Medals of Any Nation

Norway has won more total medals and more gold medals at the Winter Olympic Games than any other country in the event's history, a lead built on its traditional strength in cross-country skiing, biathlon and other snow sports. The country has topped both the gold and total medal counts across more than two dozen Winter Games appearances.
