At just 16 years old, Pakistani all-rounder Shahid Afridi scored an ODI century off only 37 balls against Sri Lanka in Nairobi in 1996, a record that stood for nearly 19 years. It was finally broken in 2015 when South Africa's AB de Villiers reached a century in 31 balls.
