Record Description

The Sundarbans spans the delta where the Ganges, Brahmaputra and Meghna rivers meet the Bay of Bengal, forming the largest single block of mangrove forest in the world. Around 60 percent of it lies within Bangladesh, and the UNESCO World Heritage site is famed as habitat for the Bengal tiger.
