World's largest cork producer

Portugal produces more cork than any other country, harvested from vast cork oak forests concentrated in the Alentejo region. The industry supplies wine-bottle stoppers, flooring, insulation and other products to markets worldwide. Portuguese firms such as Amorim rank among the largest cork processors on Earth.
