One of the World's Tallest Sitting Buddha Statues

The Buddha Dordenma statue overlooking Thimphu stands 54 meters tall and was completed in September 2015 after a construction process lasting more than a decade. Its bronze structure contains roughly 100,000 smaller gilded Buddha statues housed inside. It ranks among the tallest sitting Buddha statues anywhere in the world.
