Former World's Most Expensive Ruby

A 25.59-carat pigeon's-blood ruby mined in Myanmar's Mogok region, known as the Sunrise Ruby, sold at a Sotheby's auction in Geneva for 30.42 million dollars in May 2015. At the time, it was the highest price ever paid for a ruby at auction. It has since been surpassed by a newer record-setting ruby.
