Record Description

At Murchison Falls in northwestern Uganda, the entire Victoria Nile is forced through a gorge only about 7 meters (23 feet) wide before plunging roughly 43 meters, a compression widely described as making it the most powerful waterfall on Earth by force of water per unit width. The falls anchor Uganda's largest national park.
